Data Deletion Instructions

Last Updated: September 2026

1Disconnecting a social account

Disconnecting removes the data PowerCut holds for that account and takes effect immediately. You do not need to contact us.

  • Sign in to PowerCut.
  • Open Social accounts from your profile menu, or from the Publish Calendar.
  • Select the account you want to remove and choose Disconnect.

When you disconnect, we delete the stored access credentials and the account's name and profile picture, and we cancel any posts still scheduled to it. We keep the identifiers and links of posts already published so your post history stays accurate. Posts that were already published remain on the platform; delete them there if you no longer want them.

You can also revoke PowerCut's access from the platform itself: on Instagram under Settings, Website permissions, Apps and websites; on Facebook under Settings, Business Integrations; on Google at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Access stops working straight away, and the stored credentials are removed the next time PowerCut tries to use them.

2Deleting your PowerCut account and all data

To request deletion of your PowerCut account and everything we hold about you — including any data obtained from Meta, Google, or another connected platform — email contact@powercut.ai from the address on your PowerCut account, with the subject Data deletion request.

We confirm the request within 7 days and complete deletion within 30 days. You do not need an active subscription to make a request, and we do not charge for it.

3What is deleted

  • Your profile, sign-in identity, and account preferences.
  • Videos you uploaded, the clips generated from them, transcripts, and any edits or exports.
  • Every connected social account: its identifier, name, profile picture, and encrypted access credentials.
  • Scheduled posts, including those already published.

4What we keep, and why

We retain records we are legally required to keep, such as invoices and payment records needed for tax and accounting, for the period the law requires. These contain billing details only, not your videos and not data obtained from a connected platform.

Content you have already published to Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, or another platform lives on that platform and is governed by its terms. Deleting your PowerCut data does not remove it; delete it on the platform directly.
