This Privacy Policy describes how PowerCut ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the PowerCut website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service").

PowerCut is an AI-powered platform that helps users transform long-form video content into short-form clips using automated analysis, transcription, and editing tools, and schedule and publish those clips to social media accounts they choose to connect.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We collect several types of information in order to provide and improve our Service.

Account Information

When you create an account, we may collect:

• Name
• Email address
• Account credentials
• Profile information

If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google account to create and identify your PowerCut account.

Payment Information

Payments for subscriptions are processed by our payment provider Paddle, which acts as the Merchant of Record.

When you make a purchase:

• Payment details are collected and processed directly by Paddle.
• PowerCut does not store your full payment card details.

Paddle may collect billing information such as:

• Name
• Billing address
• Payment method
• Transaction details

User Content

Users may upload video, audio, transcripts, and other media files to the Service.

This content may be processed in order to:

• Analyze video content
• Generate transcripts
• Identify highlight segments
• Enable editing and export functionality

Content is stored securely and used only to provide the Service.

Connected Social Media Accounts

If you connect a social media account, such as a YouTube channel, so that PowerCut can publish content for you, we collect:

• The account's identifier, name, and profile picture
• The permissions you granted
• Access credentials issued by the platform, which we store encrypted
• The titles, captions, hashtags, visibility settings, and times you set for scheduled posts
• The identifiers and links of posts we publish for you

Usage Data

We may automatically collect information such as:

• IP address
• Browser type
• Device information
• Pages visited
• Time spent on the platform
• Interaction with features

This information helps us improve performance and user experience.

We use collected information to:

• Provide and operate the PowerCut platform
• Schedule and publish content you choose to social media accounts you connect
• Process transactions and manage subscriptions

When you connect a YouTube channel, PowerCut uses YouTube API Services. By connecting a YouTube channel, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service at https://www.youtube.com/t/terms.

What we access

Your channel's identifier, name, and profile picture, and permission to upload videos to that channel. If you sign in with Google, we also receive your name, email address, and profile picture.

How we use it

Only to publish the videos you schedule to the channel you chose, to show you which channels are connected, and to show the status of your posts. A video, with the title, description, and visibility you set, is sent to YouTube only when a post you scheduled is published. Captions we suggest are written from your clip's own content, not from your Google or YouTube data.

What we store

The channel's identifier, name, and profile picture; the access credentials Google issues, stored encrypted; and the identifiers and links of videos we publish for you.

Sharing

We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train artificial intelligence models. It is processed only by the service providers that host and operate our platform, to provide the Service to you.

Revoking access

You can disconnect a channel at any time under Social accounts in PowerCut. We then ask Google to revoke our access and delete the stored credentials and the channel's name and picture. We keep the identifiers of videos already published so your post history stays accurate; those videos remain on YouTube. You can also revoke access from your Google Account at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.

PowerCut's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

When you connect an Instagram or Facebook account, PowerCut uses the Meta Platform APIs. Instagram is connected with Instagram Login and requires a professional (Business or Creator) account; Facebook is connected with Facebook Login and publishes to a Page you manage.

What we access

For Instagram: your professional account's identifier, username, and profile picture, and permission to publish content to that account. For Facebook: the list of Pages you manage and each Page's identifier, name, and picture, and permission to publish videos to the Page you choose. We do not request or receive your Instagram or Facebook password, your private messages, your follower lists, or your contacts.

How we use it

Only to publish the videos you schedule to the account or Page you chose, to show you which accounts are connected, and to show the status of your posts. A video, with the caption you set, is sent to Instagram or Facebook only when a post you scheduled is published. Captions we suggest are written from your clip's own content, not from your Instagram or Facebook data.

What we store

The account or Page identifier, username or name, and profile picture; the access credentials Meta issues, stored encrypted; and the identifiers and links of posts we publish for you. We do not store a copy of your Instagram or Facebook profile beyond these fields.

Sharing

We do not sell Instagram or Facebook user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train artificial intelligence models. It is processed only by the service providers that host and operate our platform, to provide the Service to you.

Revoking access and deleting data

You can disconnect an account at any time under Social accounts in PowerCut. We then delete the stored credentials and the account's name and picture. We keep the identifiers of posts already published so your post history stays accurate; those posts remain on Instagram or Facebook. You can also revoke access from Instagram under Settings, Website permissions, Apps and websites, or from Facebook under Settings, Business Integrations.

To request deletion of all data PowerCut holds about you, including data obtained from Meta, follow the instructions at powercut.ai/data-deletion.

Meta's privacy practices are described in the Meta Privacy Policy at https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy. PowerCut is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Meta Platforms, Inc.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational safeguards to protect user data.

User data may be stored on secure cloud infrastructure used to operate the platform.

Despite our efforts, no system can guarantee absolute security.

We retain personal information and uploaded content for as long as necessary to:

• Provide the Service
• Maintain user accounts
• Comply with legal obligations

Generated clips are kept for the retention period of your plan, shown on our pricing page. Credentials for a connected social media account are deleted when you disconnect that account.

Users may request deletion of their account and associated data at any time.

PowerCut may rely on third-party services to operate the platform.

These services include:

• Paddle, for payments and billing
• Supabase, for sign-in and authentication
• Amazon Web Services, for hosting and file storage
• OpenAI, for transcription and AI features that process your content, such as finding highlights and writing captions
• PostHog, for product analytics
• Resend, for account and service emails
• Social media platforms you connect, such as YouTube, to publish content you schedule

These providers may process data only to the extent necessary to provide their services.

We may use cookies and similar technologies to:

• Maintain login sessions
• Analyze usage patterns
• Improve performance

Users may control cookie preferences through their browser settings.

Because the Service may be accessed globally, information may be transferred and processed in countries outside your country of residence.

We take reasonable steps to ensure data protection standards are maintained.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access personal information we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent for certain processing activities
