PowerCut manual

PowerCut turns a long video into short clips. You upload a video, we transcribe it, find the best moments and cut them. Then you polish them in the editor and download them.

Start with what you're trying to do:

• Getting started: upload a video and find your clips.
• Making your first clip better: trim it, delete words, fix a caption, then download.
• The ten-minute editor tour: everything the editor can do, as tasks.
• Captions and styling
• Brand kit and export
• Billing: hours, watermarks, plans
• Troubleshooting: what each error message means and what to do.
• Known limitations: what PowerCut doesn't do yet.

Every editor panel also has a ? button in its header with short steps for that panel.

Choose where to start

If this is your first upload, follow Getting started, then review Making your first clip better before exporting. If you already have a clip, choose the guide for the part you want to change: captions, framing, sound or visuals.

For a failed upload or an editor message, open Troubleshooting and find the message you saw. Check Billing for questions about processing hours and watermarks, or contact the team if you still need help.
