Known limitations
This is the honest list of what PowerCut doesn't do yet. We update it as things change.
Watermarks
- Upgrading doesn't remove watermarks from clips made on the Free plan.
Editing
- The Storyline (transcript) needs a wide browser window. It's hidden on small screens.
- Speed changes apply to a whole section. Split a section to change just part of it.
- Clean voice and volume changes apply to one section at a time, not the whole clip.
- Filler-word scans only understand English.
- Hook and fade times are typed in milliseconds.
- Text colour is typed as a hex value. There's no colour picker for text yet.
- Emoji can only be moved by dragging on the preview.
Sound
- Adding music isn't available yet. The Add music button doesn't do anything.
- Lower music while someone speaks isn't saved to your clip yet.
AI features
- Spoken hook: only your confirmed text is saved. The AI voice audio isn't generated in the editor yet.
- Speaker split, picture in picture and speaker colours need a clip with two detected speakers, and subject tracking needs subject analysis. You can't start either analysis from the editor yet.
- Stock B-Roll isn't available from the Storyline's Add menu yet. Use the Stock tab in Visuals instead.
Previews
- Caption, transition and clean voice previews are approximate. Your export is exact.
- When you change speed, preview timing is exact but the audio may sound slightly different from the export.
