Making your first clip better

Open a clip from My Videos by clicking Edit. The editor shows the video preview, the transcript (the Storyline) and a timeline. The Storyline needs a wide browser window.

Trim the start and end

  1. Click Cut & Clean in the left rail.
  2. Under Trim clip, type a new Start or End time and press Enter.
  3. Edited length shows how long the clip is now. Reset to full length undoes the trim.

Delete words

  1. In the Storyline, select the words you want to remove by dragging across them.
  2. In the menu that appears, click Delete.

This removes the video and the audio for those words. Click Undo in the top bar if you cut too much.

Fix a caption

  1. Select the misheard word or words in the Storyline.
  2. Click Edit, type the correct text and click Apply edit.

This changes the caption text only. The audio stays the same.

Save and download

  1. Click Save changes in the top bar. The status changes from Not saved yet to All changes saved.
  2. Click Export, then Download MP4.
  3. If no download is ready yet, choose Export MP4 to create a new file with your saved changes.

Only saved changes are included in a download or export. More in Brand kit and export.
